X-70 detector stand

Finally got tired of my X-70 tipping over. My brother got a couple of detector stands for an XLT from White's. All you have to do is remove the useless stand that comes with the X-70 and slip the XLT stand on. Make sure everything is straight and drill a hole in the shaft, slip the bolt ,(comes with stand) through, attach and tighten the plastic nut on it. I placed the arm cuff back on the shaft without the factory stand. The whole project took about 15 minutes. Works great and the detector will not tip over and the new stand doesn't get in the way of my swing. Thanks Bro.

I like it. My X-70 control box is getting scratched up as it always falls over. I don't use my velcro sleeve thing either.

In addition to your detector stand I'm also going to get a longer headset cord. Always getting in the way.
