X-70?????

I have Benn considering selling my MXT to get a x-70 . and would like to know the good and bad about the detector. N E information would be helpfull.thankyou....

Your MXT is a fine detector an will suit you well once you learn it. However I am a fine one to talk as I am always wanting to learn a new machine when the ones I have will all do the job they were designed for. I am assuming you are meaning the X-Terra 70. You can read the field test here http://www.losttreasure.com/fieldtests/ArchiveView.cfm?ID=LT20060512 It too is a great detector and I think it is a little better at finding the tiny gold nuggets than the MXT's I've used.

thanks sandman. I do mostly coin hunting with my MXT. So I was considering a litter detector. I really like the pulltab discriminate on the X-terra 70. it has a great iron mask and I think it might suit me better. But I'm also considering saving for a SE. So I don't know what I'm going to do....

I own the x-terra 70 and being a novice it took me a bit. But, after using it awhile, you finally figure out whats a real target and today, every target I dug was clad. I used to dig on weak and not consistent tones but, you learn which ones are the real ones.
I think the 70 is a great choice and I believe I will be sticking with it for a long time...but,,,, I will keep an eye on the Explorer SE , and watch as it grows.

One more thing about the above post, don't think its a hard to figure out what targets are good or not, I'm just a slow learner...

I have my MXT for trade or possible trade in the trade form. I would like to get a SE if I can, so maybe I will sell my MXT and see If I can come up with the rest of the money for one. I like what I see with both detectors But I don't want the (what am I missing) if I get the X-70 and not the SE. Its just that money is tight after buying my excal 1000.
