XLT trouble...HELP!!!

I bought a used XLT off E-bay a couple weeks ago and have started the long process of learning a new machine. I cant pin point with it, signal seems to bounce all over in coin mode and I cant say I've found anything outside my own coin bed. Any suggesting would be very much appreciated.

Activate the VRO setting..i believe it is under audio menu. I think it makes a HUGE difference. Give it a try

I had an XLT since 1996 and to pinpoint targets turn on VCO and modulation under audio in pro options, leave ratchet pinpointing off. oh, and set the ac sensitivity to 64 and dc sensitivity to 34. I have a coin hunting program I could type in if you would like it, also have a deep coin hunting program too.
