DAY 1
I went back to the sport fields in a city park to the east. I have covered most of the areas, but that was a long time ago so I was hoping for new losses and maybe an old goodie I missed.
I spent 4 hours swingin the CZ21 and found 54 coins with a face value of $2.83, a ring, a hat pin, the shaft of a modern type key, 3 keys on a clip, a vaping device, can slaw, whole aluminum cans, foil and 6 tabs.
The ring looked good coming out of the ground, but it was a cheapie. A cute ring, but no winner. The keys are all modern so nothing special, just gas money.
DAY 2
I got back to the beach at one of the state parks. The water is way down and the swimming areas are totally dry so I went low and slow looking for stuff that has been missed in the past. Last time I was here I got 4 coins, but scored a couple golds and silvers.
I spent 5 hours swingin the ATPro and found 19 coins with a face value of $2.49, jewelry, a stainless acorn nut, 2 pieces of the breakaway part of an aluminum bottle cap, a selfie stick retainer, fishing gear, sinkers, foil, a toy truck and 2 tabs.
5 pieces of jewelry are silver. A belt with buckle type ring, 2 earrings, an earring back and a tiny silver bead.
The ring was a nice surprise considering all the other non coin finds were very small. The ring is very heavily tarnished, the layer of tarnish is very thick. This is because it has been there and missed for a long time. It was out in what is normally deeper water and outside the swimming area. A place we are not allowed to go when the water is in the swimming area (going outside the ropes is a big no no). The extremely low water made this find happen. Right place right time again.
NON DETECTOR FINDS
I found 24 cents in the coin return at the market. I also found a dime and 6 pennies in the coinstar including a 1941 wheatie. Nothing great, but coinstar finds are not common around here so I’ll take anything I can get.
Some gas money and more silver for the pile made for a good week. It was a short one because we are leaving for Florida to visit family. Hopefully I’ll have some goodies to report when I get back. Thanks for looking, stay safe, good luck and may your coil lead you to good things.
