Got out on Saturday here in N. Virginia lovely low 70 degree day mid November to a battle/camp site that we’ve pounded for the past 10 years with multiple machines . But this was the first time at this site since December 2021 and first time with the Deus 2.

After 8 hours of digging I finished with 2 dropped .58 three ringers/one with a swag base; first in a long time -both were mere whispers 80-84 range ID using General Program at 8-10 inches, 2 flat button full of gold gilt, part of a pewter spoon and a General service Eagle cuff at 6 plus inches in heavy iron that locked solid ID 62.

Although not earth shattering finds wise; I am extremely impressed with these recoveries as this section has been pounded through the years. Why were there finds not recovered previously-due to heavy iron masking. The XP Deus engineers did their home work before releasing this bad boy last December in Europe and the US early 2022 when I received my Deus 2 mid February .

Two observations:

A) IMHO I believe the iron separation is much better than the original Deus. I dug this cuff button at 6 plus inches in heavy iron but when the Deus 2 saw the target it Locked on solid 62 all the way and I knew I had a button before I dug it.

B) IMHO I believe it is deeper than the original Deus. I’m going back to this site on Saturday with my buddy and hope to sniff out more civil war relics. Happy digging Deus 2 users

Well done on the finds from the well pounded site.
Nothing earth shattering, but damn impressive when you can start waking up a site again.
I've only hit previous hunted sites so far, and the heavy iron patches it shines.
In the areas that the iron is well separated it seems the Deus held it own pretty good.
I post up a hunt the other day of a site that I've hunted many times.
It was like a new site almost, it really came alive with recoveries.
Fun two hrs was had.
It seems that in the general program-when it locks on a #-there's something worth digging.
I'm more than impressed with came out of the hole
Having pounded multiple sites with the Deus-the Deus 2 is in fact a far better machine in the iron.
When I recovered this pack rivet under the one larger spike nail on the right, then the other 2 were under it.
It locked on, and that impressed me.
Just one of many n the time I have on the machine.

So true ; funny thing 2 years ago when I first used the Deus that I bought Dec 2020; first time at this site over 4 week period i recovered 4 Confederate buttons (Beautiful Script I/London BM), Mississippi I coat, Mississippi A, and a Script I that exploded when I pulled it out of the hole lol. Now I want another Reb button . Happy Deus 2 Digging

Heck yhea! Just a rivet but dang under a nail? Not much a big deal too many diggers but that rivet could have been a Confederate button. You keep sniffing out rivets with your Deus 2 -the law of averages says next one will be a button . Nice digs! 👍🏻
