Ben huntin; w/ xterra 50 this spring, not gettin' any silver , been ,to many great sites, thought I upgraded, many great relics, but no coins
did a few tests, not impressive results, cked out the manual, all ok, anybody got a clue? sure appreciate any help, beeen doin' this for some time ,so not exactly a neophite, THANKS

Never got much Silver with my XT -50 either just a few shallow ones . My hunting spots are all pretty heavily
hunted . My Explorer sniffs out the deeper ones though .

Not sure if xterra 50 will take 3klhz coil but that would be a start and gota study numerics well and tones and dig all. I did find a silver ring with my 305 wich is pretty much a 50.

Than ks for the help guys, I,m running higher sensitivity in non trash areas, found a really neat brass hat badge from Mass. Militia circa 1840
near old cellar hole, dig camera stbed so no pics, keep swingin and don't forget the bug spray!!!!

ive been using a 50 for about 6 months.found lots of wheats,only 1 silver merc about 4 in. it read just like a wheat. it seems to like brass ALOT...found 171 old r.r baggage claim tags all between 6-8 inches. i have found that if it jumps 42-45 at 4 inches ...its usually large iron. i use mine in all metal mode,i have found that to be more productive. if you use disc. you will miss alot. oh yeah i did find a silver ring also.it read solid 42...that was about 3 inches
