Went back to the field site I found next to my inlaws house. I found some indians and a shield nickel on Christmas day and couldnt wait to get back. It did not disappoint. Found the smooth 1842 dime right away followed by another shield nickel. Ended up with 6 indians as well. I eventually got a quarter signal and sure enough out popped the 1854 quarter. Only my third Seated quarter ever. Not thinking it could get any better, I got a really low tone on my Deus that turned out to be my first ever 3 cent nickel:headbang::hello2:

Wow! what a haul! I just can`t wait to go out east sometime and find the good stuff you guys find all the time.:icon_thumright:

Hi, nice finds. Congrats:icon_thumright:

Those are some really nice finds! Congrats! The 3 cent pieces seem to be a pretty rare find! The seated coins are quite nice too! Heck an IHP still makes my day!

Thanks. 3 cent nickels are hardly ever posted. I dont remember the last time. IMO, They are harder to find than just about every other silver/copper coin ever produced by the US mint after the Civil War and many minted before as well. Its a combination of low mintage and such a low conductive coin. Mine came in well below a nickel

What a dream site. Congrats on the great end of year hunt.

Not a bad day at all!

Here's a toast to the Toasted. For finding a sweet spot that brought him a handful of keepers and some old silver. Cheers :occasion14:
