Year of coins for silver?

When di they go to "Clad" coins.
What year where Silver. I new amd my have found silver already??

last year for .900 silver 1964. first year clad 1965

Checked and I've found 4 silver coins.

63's and 64's

Don't forget that Canada made silver in all their coinage thru 1967, and also the U S A made 40% silver 1/2 dollars (kennedy 1/2s) 1965 thru 1970 (plus the 1976 - S mint mark kennedy) and IKE dollars with the S mint mark 1971 thru 1976!

I beleive the 70-d and 76-s Kennedy's, as well as all the San Francisco Eisenhower dollars were available only in mint sets (both uncirculated and proof), and were not put into general circulation. It would be unlikely to dig up any of those, but I have happily found (and saved) a couple 65-69 Kennedy halves.
