You are getting into the goods now!! Love that shard!! I've never seen that design on native pottery. That looks like a ceremonial piece.

Its a shame it was broken rite down the middle. I would guess there would of been another eye on the other side if it was whole. The Indians did make pots with decorations of different animals they admired. Im still looking for the period it would of been from. Glad you liked it like me. It is going in my pottery frame for sure.

....really neat things rock & a lot! Pretty white point, beautiful sherd and, of course, they are large....that "size" envy thing... again. :unhappysmiley:

Cool finds Rock!

All great finds and really love the pottery! Now I'm curious about it and might do some searches!

That would be nice if you could find it. Ive looked and cant find it. Its kinda thick also .25 inch in thickness. Most of the pottery I find is very thin.

Yeah that was a lucky find. It was the only point found that day. Usually my friend finds most but this time I found almost everything. He found a flake tool and some sherds. TY

That's a nice day and nice point ;)

Small point with a little bit of damage towards the base. It was in the water about 3 inches deep. Most everything I found had a bit of damage on it but it was a good day out. Thanks

I think my neck stuck to the left :laughing7:. Thanks for the update on the piece. So its not an eye then?

I thought it looked glazed in the picture- was I seeing things- or was it wet? Cool piece, but I can't remember ever seeing a glazed piece of native pottery. Please forgive my question- it's an honest question and not a jab. Yak

Yeah it was wet. Sometimes if you wet the pottery first you can see the designs better. I try to post a wet and a dry pic if its nice.
