Yesterday I went detecting at a place that used to be a stagecoach stop. My haul for the day was a bunch of wheats, 3 indian heads (1863, 1879, and 1892), a 1936 buffalo nickel, a 1945 P war nickel, a 1940 Merc, a 1948 Rosie. Also, before this hunt I had never found a large cent...today I found 4! (1817, 1822, 1827, and I think 1831). They are pretty green and stuff, but the dates are at least legible. I found some other neat relics too. There was so much junk there, thank goodness for TTF on the Etrac. I was a little bummed for no older silver, but I will try this spot again next year.

Great hunt , looking forward to viewing more large cents from stage coach stop .

Does a building still stand at the site , any stables ?

Next year ? :icon_scratch: Why wait.
Good score.

Its just a house now...but the area i found the large cents in was in the side yard which i believe to be where they might of parked the stagecoach's

Good score.

Weather is starting to get colder and the area is someones house so I don't want to keep botherin him to come over. Want to give it a year

Awesome day! Hard to beat 4 LC's! And you still found silver even if it isn't the oldest. Congrats! :icon_thumleft::icon_thumright:

Well you certainly out did your self! That is an awesome BUNCH of finds! Congrats! Your "old" silver is probably there too.

Understood, didn't know it was "currently" a house site. It sure could get old fast looking out your window seeing someone digging holes in your lawn day after day.

Thanks guys
