Hey guys! Hunted at an old homesite where Mike (woodland Detectors) scored a nice VA button a few weeks back. It was so HOT and BUGGY I could hear my pulse through my headphones lol. The targets were thin in the yard but I manged to find the HUGE dandy button and a small cuff flat button that has evaporated since I found it :icon_scratch:.
I was about to go home skunked when I found the IHP which is actually a real nice 98. ANd as it grew darker i hit a target that sounded good and at about 6 inches came my very own Va Confederate Button. My 5th Confederate button of 2011! Its pushed in real bad but has great detail so ill take it for sure! Horstman Backmark. Thanks for looking guys!

Yeah I try to stick it out. Ya just never know what that next signal will be. :headbang:

You know James, I was looking at the Virginia button and it actually still has most of the detail still on it, looks like remnants of some of the gilt is still visible too.

Ill give the sang some time yet, so that I can replant the ripe berries/seeds. i found a big patch today at work in the hollow. ANd yep a nice 4 and a big 3 hiding under it!

Looks like you had a great hunt. Will be interesting to see if there is any gilt left on that button.
