went dumping some coin yesterday, and hit a few banks on the way home. One bank said a guy ordered a box and never picked it up, they were about to send it back. I told her I'd gladly take it off their hands. I got $550 in customer wrapped halves from other banks too. And about $20 in loose halves.
The customer rolls were someone's dumps, but they missed a 40%er. I found a 64 ken in loose halves. The box had 1 40%er, but towards the last few rolls I found 2 NIFC halves(2006, and 2009), and a 2010 proof in great shape. I wonder if towards that end of the box I started hitting someone's collection. I have boxes coming next week, so I hope there will be more goodies.
Ohh yeah, when I stopped at another bank and asked for halves the teller said they had none, but he told me another teller had a silver quarter. Sure enough, he let me buy a 61 washington, 1st silver quarter this year.
Not a bad day, I'll take it over a skunk any time.
