Yesterdays Romans

[Westfront]

After the sunday hunt with lots of trash and destroyed roman coins i did 2 hours yesterday on another potatoe field. Less trash, better coins but a 2 hrs roundtrip for me. The reason i rarely detect there. So many fields now and so little time....

My thoughts are

Dads are:

Westfront probably knows but others may not that he had a rare and very fine CRISPUS AE3 AD317-318 Ref: Sears Vol 4 16694; RIC Vol VII pg 177 TR 170.

Obv: FL IVL CRISPVS NOB CAES Laureate, draped and cuirassed bust right
Rev: PRINCIPI IVVENTVTIS Crispus in military attire standing right holding Globe and transverse sceptre with F in left and T in right field. Mintmark BTR in exergue for 2[SUP]nd[/SUP] mint at Trier Germany.

Great find in lovely condition

You plucked a nice one from the site, and I bet there are a few more to come, and probably Silver Post some buttons and the replies will go through the roof

I don't know much about Roman coins, but that one in the lower right corner is sweet!
