I posted something similar a couple of years back but here I am again.

You know when it is time to upgrade your detector when.....

1. While watching the "Antiques Roadshow" you notice a guy in line is carrying your detector.
2. You notice Police are using your detector in reruns of "Hawaii 5-O"
3. Your backup detector is a Relco Frontiersman
4. People laugh behind your back at MD club outings
5. A metal detector dealer asks you "Is that a Geiger counter"
6. Your grandfather used a similar detector in WW2
7. Your detector has only one knob
8. Your coil is made of wood.

Hey digummup, I got one just like it in my closet. First metal detector I ever owned, but not the first Heathkit I ever put together. Found quite a few coins with it. It was a pretty good detector in its day.

Took me over a year to find a White's Eagle 2 sl.
sold my New XLT.
Ill never use a newer White's detector any more.
I love my old Eagle. Got it off ebay a few weeks ago.
It out performs my XLT with depth and is more accurate.
