My best find of 2016. 16 Lbs Sterling Silver Indian wedding dowry serving trays/platters in March at an estate sale for $115. 2016 is going to be a tough year to beat but I'm up for the challenge! Happy New Year to everyone!

I guess my best for the year was the 8 Hawaiian figures I picked up for $30 & sold for $1550.

That is a great score. This year I don't remember picking up anything that brought in thousands of dollars. Just your usual $1 for $50 or $1 for $100 items.:icon_king:

Gotta be the hummels I just bought 838.00 for 200 plus 200-250 extra boxes and have sold 25 for just over $1500.00...

Probably one of my favorite finds was this nice English oak gate leg tavern table circa 1690 for $30.00. ImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1483212606.981142.jpgImageUploadedByTreasureNet.com1483212639.829783.jpg

I would have to say it's a toss-up between the box of complete-in-box NES (original Nintendo) games that I picked up off the curb (made ~$900 so far and still have about $250 in games left to sell) or the 22k bangles I scored a couple of weeks ago for about fifty cents each for a total of 25 grams between the two. Sold them for about $850 the same day.

Schaublin lathe grinding attachment with ratchet index wheel and collet holder. Paid 300.00 for it along with a huge pile of tools. Sold it less then 2 weeks later for 1800.00.

It paid for a vacation to Michigan with room to spare

Not a high rollers like you guys. I picked up a tub full of Thomas the Train engines for $30 at the end of selling them all and giving a couple to my neighbor, close to $500.00 give or take a couple of bucks.

In Memory of Don & Sue Himmelman.JPG I found this piece this year out in the waterways of Honeymoon Island while we were hunting for Agatized Coral. Really not too sure how it ended up out in the waterways but since it was a dual memorial piece for thhis couple I hauled it back to shore, put it at the base of a very old large tree, blew the pics and logistics out via social media, found several family members who were tickled beyond words to be able to get this back to the family. It wasn't a monetary score of course but it was a win win in many ways for sure!

Not the best, but close to it. It's my favorite find for the year, because I like collecting coins. Cost under $50 raw between 2 sales.

I can't quite remember them all. I recently bought this for $100 though. Spot is $140 but can probably get more. Sold on eBay to the person I bought it from for $220.

This is my favorite find of 2016: 1916 Waltham Colonial pocket watch. It was not marked on the outside and I could see were someone tried to open it up but likely failed. Paid $20 for it and was super excited when I opened it and saw the marks. I paid $145 for the services below. I totally love it and keeping it. (pics are from before it was serviced)

-Service (clean/time)
- Glass crystal
- Gold filled bow
- reattach hand and soak dial--will improve dial, but it does not repair hairline just cleans it out.
- ultrasonic case and hand buff case

FYI....if you ever need an American pocket watch serviced, Rob at this link the man!
