Your coolest CRH coin in 2011

Most of coins we found go to a box/bag/tube, etc. But once in a blue moon we would come across a "wow" coin. We put it in a folder/album/2x2/capsule, etc. Here are three coins I've stored in my album and plastic capsule. What is your coolest coin you found in last year?

The first one is Alabama Commemorative, which has a very low mintage. The coin is thicker than JFK halves in hand.

The second one is Carver-Washington Commemorative. The US map did not show Hawaii or Alaska. These two states were incorporated a few year later (1959).

The third one is a silver double-tailed tricky coin. It was made with a 1964D and 1964P. You can see the D mintmark on one of the reverse. I saw a few double-headed tricky coins on this forum. Unlike magician coin, this one can't be opened easily. I assume it was glued together.

congrats on that Alabama Commemerative - I'd love to find an old commem. coin like that.

My single best CRHing coin from 2011 (sorry - I know I've mentioned it many times before) was a low mintage 1899 Morgan dollar probably in Fine cond. That'll probably be my single best find for some time.

I also found one of those double-tailed tricky coins in Sept.

My best of 2011 would have to be the two '44 Walking Libs that I found in separate boxes. Very worn, but still beautiful in my eyes!

A MS65 heavy cameo 1996 proof dime was my first find I just had to put in a 2x2. Next to that I recently found a 1964 dime in MS63 (self graded), with such nice condition I couldn't let it get banged up.

The best single find for me was the 1869-S Seated Liberty Half Dollar
in VF++ grade. I also found a double sided 1964 Kennedy trick coin
that is also glued and can't be separated.

Its definetly a toss up between my 1894 V nickel one of the better low mintage dates or the 1921 six pence coin .500% silver i foound in a penny roll.

Went through 30 rolls of halves over the weekend...skunk.

A 1917 D obverse mintmark in XF. Plenty of barbers (both halves and dimes), but they were only good or very good condition.

I guess my best would be the shattered die dime I found; it's a rare and very desirable type of error... The 1921-S buffalo nickel would get an honorable mention. It's a low-mintage, key date - very difficult to find in any condition at a coin shop, let alone in circulation with full date.

Would have to be my 3 Barber halves, especially the 1899, cracking into the 19th century was pretty awesome!

My coolest coins this year are the coins in the picture.

I don't have an ID on the one in the center just yet. I posted a close-up of both sides in the "What is it" forum. Waiting on a response. It was found in some dimes I got from the bank. If it turns out to be an ancient coin, it will be my second ancient pulled from a bag of dimes as I got one a few years back as well. Who'd have thought....

And my first Morgan dollars and my first Peace dollars from a bank (at the price of $1 each). After 5+ years of searching, I didn't think I would ever get either of them, but I got all 4 mixed in with about 15 Ikes on Dec 23rd. An early XMas present. The young teller didn't even blink at giving them to me.

Your ancient coin appears to be a roman republican denarius (or a reproduction of it, can't exactly tell from pics). If it is one of the earlier republican denari, it would be minted before ~150 BC.

^That site can help you look at the varieties. Can't really make out a ton of details, but you can see the X (representing the value of 10 asses, the as being a Roman bronze coin) behind Roma's bust.
