Your defination of "Treasure"

All of us define what "treasure" means to them. Some folks just hunt coins, some jewelry, some relics, some nails, pulltabs, bottle caps, etc. Which of the categories shown do you fall in?

"Other" applies to: All categories & anything else that don't fit there. IF you choose "other" then please explain in your answer/post.

I even consider FOIL to be treasure, so I fall in the "All of the above category"

I voted "other"

Reason being, I get a kick out of recovering an artifact that has been in the ground for over 200 years and being the first one to touch it.
Then passing it over to my local museum for future education is a good feeling too.
Recntly I dug a WC hall token worth a little bit of money. I found out later the wc hall store was the very first store in our small town. It is the first token the town has seen.
It wiil be displayed in our museum in Black Mountain.
Don't get me wrong, I have sold a couple of dug items but, who hasn't?
I also kept most for my personal viewing.

I guess I do it more for the love of history than any thing.

Same here my friend, far as I'm concerned, it's the "hunt" that flips my switch and the fact that in my hands I hold someones piece of history!

Anything I Find that I am Happy to
take back Home with Me.
it Dosn't Even Need to be Dug;
It may Be something I Bought at a Yard Sale,
Auction, Picked up along a Road, or Parking lot.
or even handed to me as a gift.
Treasure Can be found Everywhere.

I voted "Other" for this reason: My favorite items are the ones that have you wondering what the heck it is or how the heck it got here. I love a mystery.

Other. I would say "something of value".

I don't consider myself a treasure hunter. Just a coin shooter and amateur archeologist of small, curious relics.

I put Treasure into two categories. Usually, the two categories blend together, but they don't HAVE TO for me to call them Treasure.

1. Large Intrinsic Value $$$$$$$

2. Something of a unique enough nature to either verify or change known history.

I'm in it for the money. I wouldn't have spent all the money I have on detectors, Range Rover, gear, research, books, travel, etc, if there weren't a large potential payoff at the end of the rainbow.
