A few "dug" barber coins

Here is my collection of barber coins found with a metal detector since 1999. "Good ones" include the two 1893-p dimes in the upper left corner, both in AU grade, found in the same hole; the near-mint 1899-p (top row, 5th from left), and the 1903-S (2nd row, 3rd from left). Of the coins found here, the deepest was 12 inches, and the least deep was laying on top of the dirt. Most were 1.5 to 6 inches down. I haven't had such good luck with earlier silver coins, but these are among my favorite finds.

CHA-CHING' I've only found 2 barber dimes a 1904S and 1909s and no Barber halves. I guess we need to go TH'ing together so you can show me that (SILVER) spot. Holyfield

Hey coinshooter, when should I come out there and go beach-hunting?

So we can pool our finds and show these Eastern upstarts something special ;)

You'll get your fair share Chiz. I found my 1904S in sand and was only 5 inches deep. Just please remember who your friends are when you find that (Old Hidden Cache). Holyfield

Very nice collection, that has my two barbers beat all to hell!! Hey coinshooter, one of my barbers came from a park in Ramona, California, and it was only two inches down. The way it read and the depth I figured it for a modern penny.

Beautiful collection. I think that's why I have never seriously considered selling any treasures I might recover. Now, where is that Barber notch on my GPI 2500? JIM
