I have been using the Explorer for awhile now and always heard those stories about 12" coins. I found the IH at about 11"-12", which makes it my deepest dug coin out of hundreds of coins. I usually find them in the 5"-8" range, never as deep as today. I found a V nickel with a Tesoro at about 10" once. It helps that I have been hunting recently with the stock coil instead of the 7.5" DD.

LL,

Looks like you guys found some stuff after I took off. I wish I had been there to see that IH come out of the ground. Congrats!

I am not sure, but I would guess it not about the fill dirt. Must have hit it just right to find it that deep.
