AT Pro Malfunctions?

Yes if you hit the sand it does go off but if you go over a coin or something you'll know about it!
Lower that sensitivity to quite it down...

I had the same issue at the beach (Salt Water) in Pro Mode it sings all the time. Even with ground balance adjusted, and frequency changes it just chirps away. If I hit the sand with the coil it will go off. I truly think its just a mater of experience. I will keep at it.

Bottom line is the At Pro will never be absolutely quiet in the wet sand or surf. However, with the right GB and sensitivity adjustments, you can find good targets. Depth will vary by beach or section of the same beach. What you're looking for is a repeatable signal.

On Florida beaches I use standard mode on my AT because it is way more stable than pro mode. It automatic GBs at around 12, with sens at 5 of 8 bars.
