ok,, it's just a bird tag...... got some cool items at a new spot,, the earring had me goin, thought it was gold.... someone already hit this spot hard and got any coiny hits there were.. oh well, they left me some cool items.. the sac dollar came from a goe-cache,, my 5th one i found in the woods,,, i signed in and left something....

Nice finds...that eagle button is a staff officer button, with the backmark you can narrow it down to a time period when it was manufactured, it may be Civil War.

there's no backmark at all... or it's gone, but it don't look like it ever had one.

If I'm not mistaken, if you write the information down from that bird tag, like location where it was found, tag number and send it to the DNR, they will send you back a report about the bird that it belonged too. You would need to tell them that you found the tag without the bird. Nice find.
