I saw my first Bald Eagle in the wild about 4-5 years ago. I had only ever seen them in captivity. There were two flying around my work. I didn't even know we had them in Northeast PA.

They are magnificent creatures indeed. This one returns here yearly. Can't understand how that nest has survived our hurricanes. These are some older shots. In the small ones it is sitting atop a concrete power pole right along US 1 between Vero Beach and Ft Pierce, fishing the Indian River Lagoon.

Hi Oregon Viking,
We have them on our lake in Northern BC, Canada.
Magnificent bird.
Had one catch a 4 pound trout out of the water and had to swim to our shore as he was too tired to release.
After his fill and several hours later flew off.
Out ice fishing they would land a few feet off and scream at us to throw the head to them.
They would swoop down and take it at our feet.

Those pictures are so so beautiful.
I love those eagles ..we were walking under some tall Norway spruce trees in our yard and saw a eagle land on the house roof.
I’d consider contacting a calendar company and see if they are interested
Thanks again for sharing
