People's personal tastes in coffee is like people's political beliefs. Everyone prefers it differently but it is each person's opinion as to what makes it right for that individual. There is no right way to drink coffee and in the end it's still just a cup of coffee, no matter how you take it.

with loss of about a cup in the grounds, I have just enough to fit my
5 cup, coffee cup at a time.

Processed sugar is bad for you, if you have to sweeten your coffee honey is much better for you.... I prefer mine black no sweeter most times but occasionally I will use some gullberry honey in it. I buy my honey raw from the bee farmers 3 pounds at a time.... We use no processed sugar in our home just pure honey....

I got this way from my Boss at the Night club.
He used to fill the Basket on a 10 cup coffee pot .
& since I only drank coffee, My days & nights consisted on Drinking the Syrup that

THAT's NOT SYRUP! That's nectar! In the Corps we had the big 20 or 30 cup urns. 1lb can did nice. When it got to around 3/4 empty, another can and enough water to top it off. By Wednesday you'd get a real rush off it!

Jeff, If it starts getting bitter, try adding a tiny pinch of salt to the grounds. Grandpa made the best coffee! Asked him what he did, and he told me that. If Grandma bought lousy coffee he'd drop a couple chunks of egg shell in. Sounds weird as all get out, but I swear it works!!!!!

And if it eats the spoon off the handle, you just add a couple teaspoons of water to thin it some, and it's good to go!

I have, on occasion, added a few pinches of cinnamon to the pot to enhance the flavor a bit, but I haven't used cream and sugar since I was a kid. If I were to feel like cream and sugar I'd just go get a vanilla shake.

Regular coffee does not even phase me now...
I was thinking...
Instead of sugar I could use powdered caffeine...
And instead of paying an arm and a leg at the store I could obtain my own free coffee blend...
by asking the local cow farmer for permission to gather cow dung...
