Hey everyone,

Got out for a marathon hunt today that took me to 4 different sites.

First couple were pretty quiet. Got a few Wheats and a US button but that was it. Those 4 wheats in the first couple spots took me to 500 on the year so that was a cool milestone.

On my way to my next site I found a place that caught my eye. My first two hits there were wheats. Always a good sign.

A while later, I had a whole bag of goodies. Here are the photos:

None of this came from the 4th spot of the day but that's all good. The third spot was amazing.

The totals on the day:
-26-S SLQ
-Sterling Ring
-11-S Wheat
-15 Other Wheats
-US Capitol Building Token
-KG VI Canadian Penny
-A Big Hem Weight
-A "US" Military Button

Could anyone tell me more about the ring, token or US pin/button? I always love finding that stuff but don't know the history as much. I'm more of a coin guy at heart.

Thanks all and happy hunting!!
-W

Had plans to go out all day tomorrow but as usual in PA the whole dam summer and now even the fall gonna calling for heavy rain and 20 to 40mph winds starting later tonight into Sunday so gonna be cleaning coins and reading AT Pro Manual instead. Great job on your marathon hunt I need a day like that all I have been doing is working 6 to 7 days a week for the last month we are just so loaded with work

Shoot, I'm sorry to hear that. This is my big week. I don't have this much time to hunt again for a few weeks. I hope you have a big November!

Great finds!! That’s a well worth marathon

Is is there anyway you could show a close up of the 1911-S?

i found one years ago and had people claim it was faked, I would love to see one to compare too.

Here's the up close shot. I haven't cleaned it thoroughly but you can see the date shining through the grime.

Wow looked like a fun day of hunting. Love the wheats and any silver is always great, but a dated SLQ is awesome.

Sadly I only have got a few times this year and when I finally have time to go it is rainy and 40 out. I'll have to get out at last once more this season.

Keep up the great streak - always fun to see what people are finding.

Thank you! It's about 50 and raining here today but I think I might try to sneak out for an hour anyways 🤷🏼*♂️ good luck on getting out again!
