I hunted in a lot that I have found over a dozen Minie Ball Bullets. It seems this location was used to clean the guns because all but one were either shot or pulled. I found a fired .58 and a .69. I also dug a piece of lead that has been carved on and looks like it was some kind of bullet, I'm just not sure so I could use some help with it. I tried to get some good pics but it was difficult to get focused. Thanks, David.

GREAT carved bullet. Cool that you can see the knife marks. Possibly a chess piece?

That is one sweeeet carved bullet. One of the nicer ones I've seen

I love your carved bullet. Such a personal item to find. Imagine, a soldier in the Civil War held that piece of lead and carefully hand carved it into what you see there. That's the one thing I love so much about this hobby. You can let your imagination run wild with each and every old piece you find.

Awesome find
It makes me wonder what kind of bullet it was carved from.
the bottom has a Sharps look to it but the Skirt makes me wonder.
Very Cool

Thanks! I am wondering the same thing about what it was carved out of.

Hope you find out ..
I'd be interested in knowing also.
