CIVIL WAR FINDS + HUGE SURPRISE!!!----AND FINALLY TO COMPLETE THE STORY!

Hey guys,

hope you are having a great Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Hunted all day yesterday except for dinner and hunted this morning.

Found the button without the back and the musket ball yesterday. My FIRST target dug today, I found the C.S.A. Plate! I ran about a tenth of a mile, up hill back inside to the house and woke everyone up. Man, I was out of breath but HAPPYYYYYYYY!!! Also found some more melted lead and an Eagle Button with a root grown inside the shank. very unique.



I told dad last night that when I find one of the buckles that I'd quit.

Did I quit? No way! I want moreeEEe!!!

Hey Mike,

I'm over in East Tennessee on family property. We've got a really good drawn map from Gen. Kirkbride from the 118th Ohio of the area. From the map, we are on a campsite. Tomorrow we are heading over to a skirmish/battle site that is also on some family property.

Luckily, I can post some more great finds tomorrow!!

Yeah, I'm swinging the XLT with the stock 950 coil. I've came up with my own program that I tweaked from the Preset Relic program. Works great.

HOLY CRAP!!! Nice finds. That CSA Belt Plate is awesome. There are guys who hunt all their lives and NEVER find one that nice.

That buckle would be a once-in-a-lifetime find. Since you dug it you know it's real. You can't even put a price on that.
