Finding wheats, but no silver Why?

thats what i always figured. people cherry picked most of the silver over the years.

Where they shinny and spotted and picked up? Did animals such as crows or pack rats grab them up? Could there be other explainations?

The reason there are so few silvers is because you already dug most of it! :(

Actually, I think for the last 50 years or so people rarely bother to pick up pennies. Now a nickle, dime, etc., that they'll bother with.

I remember many times back in the early 60's we'd just give pennies a toss. Back then most were wheats.
