Great job CD.
I'll take off work ANY day to go find relics like that! ;D I've only found a few arrowheads in my life, and they were in Missouri.
You forgot to mention the poisonous snakes we have here in NC. You really took a chance being way out there in the boonies. :o
Glad you made it back for this great post. Now get back out there and do it again. ;D

Yes I did forget :) and that was my biggest concern !!! We have those "water moccasins" you know > and they are mean !!

Tsalagi I found them walking a corn field !! No digging involved, they are just laying on top of the ground. I only found 2 nice arrowheads the first afternoon but pick up lots of items I new had been worked. after giving it all a bath lol :) I had some better things than I thought !!

Pretty neat finds you have there. I don't believe I've ever seen a real arrowhead in person. Good going!

Hi CD,

Nice spread of arrow heads. I like the white one near the center of the photo. Very..... arrow head looking... :D

They will make a very nice display.

Real arrowheads are treasures that's for sure.

You might want to take a metal detector to that indian site sometime. The later woodland indians traded beaver furs for French iron knives and all sort of copper ware. I've found some awesome artifacts at these types of sites.

Just last summer I dug a 1750 era French trader knife and cannon ball at such a site. The indians would trade for almost anything.
