Got the coin back this morning after straightening. Here's a few pics.

Had a couple of requests to see the straightened coin Cru. The post will soon fade back in to the past.

I'm happy to see it straightened out ! With high Karat gold (20 k on up ) it should be a safe bet to to do this - especially if properly
annealed (heat treated ) Thank You for sharing this exceedingly rare find with us again.

I just can't imagine making a find like that Robert. Just absolutely spectacular!! I've never even heard of one being dug in the US, but was hoping one would show up at my hammered coin site that produced 26 silvers dating between 1560 and 1640. But in spite of digging everything that remotely resembled a signal it was not to be. I can't think of anything more I'd love to have in my collection outside of a hammered gold coin. Again, great job!!
