Hope Nobody Finds One of These!

hey i live in the southeast...... Alabama to be exact..... and i dont care if Texas wants the biggest snakes... they can have them lol ..... i am definately NOT gonna go looking for bigger ones lol

In California, they have a pygmy rattler (8-10"inches length) that many times has no rattles. I beleive they are found on the channel islands. I remember seeing them at the San Diego Zoo sometime back.

We have em here in Florida too.

Hello kuger. Im sure you are referring to the Texas snake or maybe even the Florida rattler pic I found online and posted. The Python picture however is real. My friend Bob took the picture.

It swallowed a full grown 3 1/2 year old Everglades deer. I think she was 86 pounds. The total snake weighed 225 pounds took 4 men to load it in a truck. It measured 15 1/2 feet which BTW was not the largest killed. Bob Hill also killed a 17 1/2 footer and I posted a 22 footer that came into my check station in 2009.

Python mating season starts in December and they will be out on the roads trying to keep warm. We will never irradicate them completely but we need to kill every one located. Yall come down and help us hunt down these monsters. Diamondbacks are native here and should be left alone. We also have nasty tempored Rock Pythons and Anaconda sightings have been reported.

the everglades pics are the real deal. Unless you live down here you dont realize the amount and types of lizards and snakes that have taken over. we have big rattlers too.
I killed this one in Pasco county, a bit over 8ft and I didnt keep the head, I was digging for arrowheads and got him with my pony shovel

Wish I could find the photo... taken before internet/computer days. Used to be a copy in most hardware stores down here 30-40 years ago. It was a black man, snake draped around his neck. I think it was over nine feet long, had a head the size of half a football, and weighed in excess of 90 pounds. We grow some BIG Dimond Backs and Cane Break rattlers down here. Slew a Cane Break a couple of years ago, at least six feet long, 14 rattles and a button. No, I didn't eat it. I usually leave them alone, they have their place in the ecological scheme, but if they are in the yard, they're dead.

It may be. The python pic is real. This pic is me, I often find them on the roadside.
We are seeing an increase in diamondbacks because the Florida panthers are eating all the wild hogs. The pythons are eating whatever they want.
