Those are different lifts of the pours when it was cast. If you look carefully you will see they are not level or uniform thicknesses. I really don't understand all the suspicions that there is something hidden inside.
Or that it is two pieces fused together.

I agree, imagination can run wild. Same with the brass rings not being aligned on the top. You can hear the Oak Island announcer "Was it a key to the treasure? Were they faces of the clock revealing the time and combination to the lock? Tune in next week to find out". Laying brass rings into semi molten metal as it set as the case was here, they probably weren't too anal as to their alignment. But confirmation bias is a strong force indeed, some want it to be true so bad, any evidence is distorted to fit their preferred narrative.

No, I Think the OP was looking for an easy answer.

I do like the mystery surrounding it. I’m sure his father kept it as a prized metal detecting find. If he found in while searching for James gang loot, it probably haunted him at night not knowing what it was.

I think it will make a great folk lore piece to hand down. It might spawn someone into searching more...and you never know what could come of that.

Good luck.

Decorative piece made out of lead by a young couple. When I was a kid my brother and I used to dig lead at a gun range and melt in an old pot. Made all kinds of casts. No ventilation in the process, that explains why I am the way I am.

So in the names jesse is spelled with an i which is wrong. Frank is spelled with a backwards n which is not right either. Put those two letters together and it gives you the word IN! Maybe there is something inside. Probably not but ya never know.
