ATP does have a tendency to ring up really nice on most pull tabs. Sometime it'll get scratchy on the pop top types but never on the beaver tails.
I've used other machines that do much better on the pull tabs. But I still prefer the ATP overall!

Gotta consider the ATP on my next purchase... Currently using an ACE 250 since March this year and managed to pull in about SGD150 worth of coins, 2 gold rings, 1 gold pendant and 1 gold bracelet.

Dug my deepest silver with the ATP today. This '64 Rosie was every bit of 8". Rang up in the high 80's and sounded off really really nice.
Also pictured are the '35 Wheat, Brooke Shields pants button and nice little kitty bell that I dug today!

Love my ATP!

Nice finds! I think if the wind picks up again tomorrow to rid the mosquito's, I'll be back out either at the honey hole or one of 2 new spots I think might have some potential. We'll see. Sweet 30's wheat also!

Oh, by the way, I forgot to ask, how wet is the soil there today? 8 inches is nice for a dime and a 5x8!

Normal soil conditions I guess. Soil was fairly tight packed (school playground). Not dry not wet!

I did some traveling recently out of my "normal" areas searching for new spots. Busts each time.

Note to self...When the locals say "site use to be a smelting plant" RUN!

Yeah the ATP can hunt beaches/wet sand. Garrett's site has instructional video in it. Definitely turn down the sensitivity. I'd like to try my ATG on it, but it's not recommended for it. I figured since I'm not around salt water I got the ATG. I chase the gold myself, but also go for the coins/relics in the parks and lakes/rivers.

I got a new coil for my Vx3/MXT Pro a week or so ago, and decided to finally un-package it and give it try today. So after installing it on my Vx3 I set off for a park close by my house for it's maiden trial. Coil worked great and I was digging some clad but the whole time I was thinking to myself "wonder if I'm missing anything?" "I should've just brought my ATP". I find it amusing that my once go to $1200 detector is causing me doubt and feel the need to have my $600 ATP to feel the confidence I once had with my other detectors.
A short trip home, picked up the ATP & out to a street close by that has some sidewalk tear out going on...Popped a '42 Wheat and another silver...'41 Merc!
All my good stuff this year has been with ATPro except for one silver ring and I haven't even had it a month yet!
