Went out today to meet up with my old buddy t-bucket to do some News Years Day Detecting. We both need to start the New Year off right with some silver finds. It was quite cold out and i knew I could not stand it to long. Within 5 minutes of swinging I got a nice silver sound @ 6" that turned out to be a 1954 Rosie in nice shape. I spent another 50 minutes detecting only finding clad so I decided to get into my car to warm back up. I went over to t-bucket to check his finds and he had found a nice 1942 Mercury Dime. He said he was quite cold and was going home. I decided to check out the old city park that I have done quite well in this summer. I was there for 20 minutes and got a slight chirp @ 4". I then rotated 90 degrees and swung again. The chirp repeated. When I dug target it was on it's side in frozen ground. I broke the clod apart and could see the edge of the coin. Boy when I got the coin out I was amazed at the condition of it. Here are pics. Enjoy and thanks for looking.

Bruce

The 1914-d barber dime looks great.Maybe theres a 1913-s barber dime out there.

Thanks rogerdoger. I would not doubt it. This was a bear cage area in the mid 1800's thru 1940's and I was told everyone used to throw coin at them. I have done great here the past 6 months.
