I'm with you Jeff, finally a price I like!

Brad unless they ask for a Bill and a license and match the names & addresses, I have no idea either, how they will know for sure it's you.
Like our register on line with a drivers license how do they know it's actually you! Also we've had people at the DMV selling licenses under the table! So that bird has flown the coup!
There is no way they can know for sure, unless the are doing finger prints, face recognization, DNA....at your local dump???.
Lol! I give up!
Yeah, At least here they want to check it against your DL. Easy fix for that is I found out by accident. Hand em the bill, undo your seatbelt get out of the truck and start scrounging through your wallet, then the glove box and finally through your wallet again as the line builds up behind you. Trust me they remember! The next time I went, they just looked at me funny & said "Naw, that's OK". Haven't had to show the DL for three trips now!

Ya gotta have fun with it! Even if it's accidental!!

Hey guys,,
When the price of oil drops, , does it drive the price of gold up??

used to drop side by side, But occasionally I've also seen the opposite.

The correlation between gold and oil is not strong, but the correlation between gold and stocks is inversed. Some of the big boys use gold for their sweep fund.

Well if the Perez has his way we will be pay'n more at the pump. Just heard on the news he wants to "tax" each barrel of oil $10.
Which will find it's way down to We the consumer "after" each cog in the manufacturing chain has multiplied that cost.
Of course its got to pass first.
Why do they think we are made of money!

It would work out to an extra .25 per gallon. What he is trying to do is put the final nails in the coffin of US oil production. He hates oil usage. He doesn't realize that it will raise the cost of everything else that is made of oil, which is practically everything from clothing to plastics. it would also raise shipping rates. He just doesn't think beyond the immediate point. Frank. the inquisitor 700.jpg

they will all be adding their little taxes now saying we can afford it.
Of course they won't suspend those taxes when gas hits $5.00 a gallon.
Just wait & hope for another dip like this so they can add another :(

When they up the price of oil which is used as widely over such a range of things it is so insidious because of the way any increase multiplies and avalanches down on the consumer at the bottom.
And do you think any of they care, no!

OH, the "hidden" taxes. If you only knew! There is the federal excise tax on car tires that is multiplied down to you and the tax on your telephone and electric bills.
I have seen estimates by accountants that show that 75% of the money you spend is actually going for some form of taxes. We need a flat tax as our ONLY federal tax, but this will never happen. 75% would start a revolt! Frank

They wait till they can find a different excuse to use, then Slip it in & twist :(

We pay for anything and everything, thrown in and falsely justified, but when a great money saving invention that is less poluting comes along they squash and bury that in a hurry!
Because it will cut into what they consider their money and all it costs them... nothing more than a lie.
Somebody should offer stocks on that "commody".

Quite true! You notice how they got the MPG up because it would have cost them more not to.
There are more advanced solar panels out there but they are kind of being held up, if you know what I mean.
I have seen some fantastic technologies. There was a all electric car that had a capacitor that would charge instantly then bleed slowly into the battery pack as you drove. You could fill it faster than a gas car. My kids might see that one. Frank

That is why I get so frustrated when we the general public are held accountable for pollution and waste, it's not us, it's them!
We come up with an awesome invention and they quash it! We find a fix and they break it!
Who ever said, "follow the money" were absolutely right!

We used milk bottles that were "recycled" by sterilizing. Same with coke bottles.

Now, everyone is shouting "reduce, reuse, recycle" ... who are these jack wagons? We had a system that worked, that was safe --- and conserved resources. They (the same ones who are whining now, and their illiterate progeny) replaced it with throw away single use bottles made from petroleum based products.

Televisions used to be designed for 10 years of service. Today, they are designed to last 3 at most by the same fools mentioned above. Using a small amount of resources to make something that lasts 10 or more years has been cast aside by the nitwits who think that replacing the appliance every 3 years resulting in a total use of MORE THAN TWICE THE RESOURCES is somehow better for the environment.

If anyone was really concerned, they would find ways to make things last longer so that fewer resources were used.

It isn't about conservation, it's about money.

That's why the power company has the cajones to approach the Public Service Commission and ask for a raise in rates, not because of an increase in fuel costs, but because they are selling fewer kilowatt hours.

We have outlived common sense.

I use to have a TV/HI FI repair business. Some other repair shops were just plane crooks. They would do things like placing under rated capacitors in a circuit to assure another call in a couple of months. I saw it on a lot of calls. Well the manufacturers are doing it now. The death of electronics is BUILT IN. It is everywhere. Even some ink cartridges have a kill circuit built in that expires with time, not usage. Stuff like this should be illegal, but it isn't. A properly designed TV could last practically forever. The big brand name sets use to be built that way. Only the tubes wore out. Now the brand names are just decorations that are leased out by corporations that have bought them and lease them to Junk manufacturers. Our land fills are full of TIMED OUT electronics. You can't repair electronics any more. The components are molded in layers on the boards or encapsulated in IC blocks. What we need is a law that makes manufacturers guarantee there products for over 10 years, then the quality would go up and waste would go down. Cars should be guaranteed for a minimum of 10 years on everything but batteries, break lining, oil, and tires. OK, the steams all out. lol Frank

Well, that isn't the worst of it. Apple has now decided that if you have someone other than apple repair your phone, or if you "jail break" it, they are going to disable it.

Going on in the UK, coming soon to an Incompatible phone near you ... iPhones 'disabled' if Apple detects third-party repairs - BBC News

The problem is known as "error 53" and has appeared in Apple products before.
The Guardian reports that users' phones were disabled after the Touch ID home button was repaired by a non-Apple engineer.

Thousands of iPhone 6 users claim they have been left holding almost worthless phones because Apple’s latest operating system permanently disables the handset if it detects that a repair has been carried out by a non-Apple technician.
Relatively few people outside the tech world are aware of the so-called “error 53” problem, but if it happens to you you’ll know about it. And according to one specialist journalist, it “will kill your iPhone”.

99 Cent Gas May Be on Its Way - 24/7 Wall St.

The International Energy Agency (IEA) February oil market report will put more downward pressure on crude prices just as the price of gasoline in some parts of the United States dips to above $1.10 a gallon. Prices are moving swiftly to below $1, a price last posted in the United States in December of 1993.

That would help everyone at the gas pumps but we won't see the trickle down of lower prices across the board like we saw the raising of them when the businesses passed the increases onto their consumers.

I hear Ya on that one Frankn!
My last clothes washer broke before the warranty was even up! Then I got to replace the drain pump 3 more times myself! I want an new industrial machine but they won't sell me one.

If that's not enough, China just bought GE....won't be buying any if those if I can help it.
