Hey Guys, found this piece of a Smoking pipe today. Should be old and possibly some silver alloy?

Can pewter alone shine like silver? You can See it Shine silver on the bottom of the pipe, Hit it with the shuffle...

Yeah I guess it to be WW1, found it in Germany.

I don't see it being a pipe. Show the backside, and end views if you want an I.D. Curious for sure.

Is it heavy, cause it could also be alluminium

That was my First thought too, my neighbour Said it's not Aluminium. It's Not really heavy but also not very lightweight For such a small Thing. Unfortunately I don't have a scale, but could weigh it in a few days.

I might be wrong but I've never heard of an aluminium German pipe? Do they exist?
You can see its not pewter by the scrap at the base.

I haven't seen a pipe quite like that, but I see some greenish hue to the corrosion. If not silver, pewter or aluminium, then why wouldn't it be "German Silver"? ...a cheap alloy of copper, nickel and zinc first commercially produced in Germany in 1770 and in common use for utilitarian items by the late 1820s.

Thanks for the input Guys!

If it's not Aluminium or pewter, it's either this "German silver" or really some silver alloy?! Guess I will get it tested somewhere next Month...
I can't see anything greenish but there are a few Red Points which I can't scratch away.

Parts of this looked greenish-blue to me. Typical for copper oxides and other corrosion products. Maybe it's just the lighting.
