I found this beauty in the same hole as a mystery chunk of iron at a very pounded Civil War camp site. I can only imagine how many times that signal was passed up by other detectorists(including myself) because of the iron in the hole. Sometimes it pays to dig iffy signals IMG_0428.JPG IMG_0429.JPG

Here are my "square" holed coins. First one is unidentified, found in 1740's yard. And the 2nd in my 1787 CT copper. Whats up with the square holes? Also, here is a neatly designed "dandy" button. The shank must have came off many moons ago and someone drilled a couple holes in it to fix the problem.
