I love the Walker ender! Never had one of those in a MWR. Nice to see the silver flowing a little bit.

Thanks. That was my 2nd WL ender in the past two months and only my 2nd WL ender ever. I finished the month with a little more silver on Monday. My last box of the month was a little strange and kinda surprising. I had a '68D ender in the second roll and a '69D ender in the fifth roll so I was hoping I might have a pretty good box but strangely I didn't find any other silver in the rest of the box till the very last roll - a '65. Oh well, not what I was expecting I might find at first but Im not complaining.

Also, Im still getting $25 small dollar wrappers in boxes at one of my p/u banks. Its really had one of the tellers at that bank confused lately when she is selling these rolls loose. When I bought $250 of these rolls last Friday, at first she was only going to sell me just 10 rolls. It took me about 5 minutes to explain to her that the dollar figure on the wrappers was wrong and they were actually $10 rolls. But she seems nice and I finally convinced her I was right and the wrappers were wrong lol.

6/30:
$210 mwr halves: 2 x 40% ('67, '68D)
$500 half box #82: 3 x 40% ('68D ender, '69D ender, '65 in the very last roll)

So my totals for the first 6 months of 2014 was 376 silver keepers. With the relatively low volume I've done so far this year I'm very happy with that. But with a modest increase in volume the rest of the year Im hoping for even better results in the next 6 months. But only time will tell.

H$H!

That's awesome, but I see how the wrappers can confuse a high school educated teller... haha :P

You've been quiet lately, I hope that doesn't mean you are on a skunk streak.

Lol, no I've been finding a little silver so far this month. No great boxes lately, just kinda slow and steady. I was going to update my log this wknd, just kinda got lazy and haven't gotten around to it. Nothing too exciting to post so far this month but I'll update my log later tonight.

Well, the silver has been kinda slow and steady for me so far this month. No loaded boxes so far this month but I did find a 7 x 40% keeper box and a 2 x 90% keeper box from one p/u bank last week which are my two best boxes so far this month. And as you can see from one of the pics I'm still getting $25 wrappers in some of my square Dunbar boxes at two different p/u banks. The last pic is my 21 silver keepers for the month so far but I mistakenly left one clad in that stack (6th coin from the right) when I took the pic.

7/1:
$500 half box #83: '65 in 45th roll
$500 half box #84: skunk ('87D)

7/3:
$5 loose halves: clad
$500 half box #85: 4 x 40% ('67, 2 x '68D, '69D rev ender in 4th roll)
$500 half box #86: 2 x 40% ('66, '67)
$500 half box #87: '67
$500 half box #88: '69D

7/8:
$500 half box #89: 7 x 40% (3 x '67 including an ender in the 1st roll, 3 x '68D, '69D)
$500 half box #90: 2 x 90% ('60 Ben, '64D Ken), '07 British Penny

7/10:
$3 loose halves: clad
$5 loose halves: '69D
$5 loose halves: '67
$500 half box 91 : skunk ('74s)
$500 half box #92: '67, '89S
$500 half box #93: skunk

Not too bad so far but Im hoping for better results the second half of the month.

H$H!

Nice...slow and steady gets a stack.

I love those old pennies. I'm glad your not getting skunked. Keep on rolling.

Thanks. Yeah, not exactly a great month so far but I sure can't complain about only getting 3 skunk boxes from my 11 half boxes so far this month. And that big Penny is only the second one I've ever found. It's in pretty rough shape but I suppose that's not too surprising considering its age. I found a '66 Penny in February this year in pretty decent shape. The first magician's coin I found a few years ago was a British Penny too ('67 I think).

No boxes for me today but I should have 4 or 5 boxes to p/u from two different banks (2 from one bank and 2 or 3 from another) tomorrow. I have more crhing funds now which sure makes things more convenient. I can get more boxes at one time now and I'm not as immediately dependent on my dump banks for needed cash to get more boxes.

Good luck to you as well. H$H!

Well, I only found 2 x 40% in my last 6 half boxes last week and one of those 40%ers was a rev ender in the 49th roll of my last box from Friday. But I did have one decent 9 keeper box last Tuesday and searched some nickels last week for the first time in over a month and had really good results with those so I can't complain.

7/14:
$.50 half: clad
$9 Ikes: skunk
$20 cwr nickels: '44P, '27 damaged buff, 2 nd/damaged buffs (all four coins in same roll), 4 x '40's, 3 x '50's

7/15:
$500 half box #94: skunk
$500 half box #95: '64 Ken, 8 x 40% ('66, 2 x '67, 4 x '68D including one rev ender, '69D rev ender), '78S
$500 half box #96: skunk ('87P)
$500 half box #97: '67, '87P, clad '94S

7/16:
$11.50 loose halves: skunk
$15 Ikes: skunk

7/17:
$.50 half: clad
$1 loose halves: clad
$6 loose halves: clad
$20 mwr & cwr nickels: skunk (2 x '40's, 2 x '50's)
$30 mwr nickels: '44P, '45P ender, 3 x '40's, 3 x '50's, clipped '74 (probably just PMD), '78 Canadian
$500 half box #98: skunk
$500 half box #99: skunk

7/18:
$1 loose halves: clad
$500 half box #100: skunk
$500 half box #101: '69D rev ender in 49th roll

Hope to get some better boxes this week.

H$H!

Congrats on some good results overall. If it wasn't for the occasional good boxes then this hobby would be less exciting.

Happy hunting and good luck.

Thanks, and yes we definitely need the good boxes to help make up for all the skunks. Btw, I just noticed we both had the same results from our last box - a lone 40% rev ender. And if yours was in the 49th roll too that would be really strange lol. Well, I hope we both can finish the month with some good boxes.

Well, my lousy boxes lately have forced me to relocate to Skunksville. I've only managed to find 2 x 40%ers out of the last 12,000+ halves I've searched and strangely enough both of those keepers were side by side in the same roll. Its kinda strange too that one of those 40%ers was a '69D rev ender and the previous keeper I found 10 boxes earlier was also a '69D rev ender in the 49th roll of that box. Well, here's my dismal results for the last two weeks of July:

7/21:
$16 cwr & loose halves: skunk
$30 cwr nickels: complete skunk

7/22:
$500 half box #102: skunk ('71S)
$500 half box #103: skunk (clad '03S)

7/23:
$27 loose halves: skunk

7/24:
.50 loose half: clad
$500 half box #104: skunk
$500 half box #105: skunk
$500 half box #106: skunk (6 rolls had quarters so I was $1.50 short for the box)

7/25:
$15 Ikes: skunk

7/28:
$1.50 loose halves: clad
$100 mwr halves: skunk
$500 half box #107: skunk
$500 half box #108: skunk

7/29:
$2.50 loose halves: clad
$500 half box #109: skunk
$500 half box #110: skunk

7/30:
'53 wheat cent in change

7/31:
.50 half: clad
$1 Ikes: clad
$500 half box #111: '65 & '69D rev ender side by side in the 6th roll (and a quarter in one roll so I was .25 short for the box but at least I found a little silver)
$500 half box #112: skunk
$500 half box #113: skunk

I know we gotta take the bad with the good with this hobby but the last couple of weeks have been pretty ugly. But its still been a good year overall for me this year. I've found just under 70 oz of silver so far this year so I can't complain. But I sure hope I start getting some better boxes in August.

H$H!

That is really an unfortunate batch of halves. Getting shorted on a box doesn't help either. I still like finding proofs just to see something unusual, though it's not really what most of us are in the game for. Hope things pick up this month. All it takes is one box or a loaded CWR to remind you why you're doing it!

Yeah my boxes have been pretty lousy lately but I had a bad streak of skunk boxes in March and April then I had my best month ever with boxes in May so things can sure change quickly with this hobby. I doubt I'll have another month like May again anytime soon but I hope things start getting a little better this month at least. I got two more boxes today I haven't opened yet so maybe I can find a little silver tonight. Good luck to everyone else this month too.

Well, I found one decent box last week but the pickens sure have been slim lately. There's probably other hunters in the area dumping into my supply and filling it up faster than I can get through it. Earlier today I cancelled my weekly 2 box order from one of my p/u banks that I've been using all year. Seems like my boxes from that bank have been all skunks for the last couple of months. Maybe I'll try my luck ordering boxes from some other banks around town.

8/5:
$500 half box #114: skunk ('87D)
$500 half box #115: 4 x 40% ('66, 3 x '67)

8/7:
.50 loose half: clad
$500 half box #116: skunk
$500 half box #117: skunk

8/8:
$9 loose halves: skunk
$200 mwr halves: skunk
$500 half box #118: skunk
$500 half box #119: skunk
Free: '37 wheat cent in coin counter reject tray

Despite my lousy boxes lately, I've found just over 70 ozs of silver this year so I can't complain. But I hope I can start getting some better boxes sooner rather than later.

H$H!
