hello all,

I called the yard the other day to see if it was worth my while to make a trip.

no way ..... $15.00 a ton for tin/sheet steel

I've probably got 2 tons in the back yard, trying to make more room by taking apart the other items I have. I'm hoping to open a few spots to store more steel.

Then after that I'll have alot more Aluminum, stainless, brass, and other goodies.

good luck to all, I hope this ends soon, but I doubt it will. The steel mills are not getting orders, so the out put is lower. Lower out put, lower demand for scrap. Their best estimate for business to pick-up is 2nd quarter next year, worst estimate 1st quarter 2010! ...... time to use the metal detector more. And only pick up the good stuff .... no more steel, except for appliances.
