:laughing7: Oh that's funny ST! This thread is one of the most active - over several years - of all the threads here! Beep and dig is "useless" in high trash? Sounds like the Kool-Aid is starting to take effect SuperTraq. By the way, does this mean you are going to change your forum name to "Bounty Hunter?"

Oh but your boy here starts it and its o.k?
Ban me then,I don't bow to that boy.

SuperTraq, I have never asked you to agree with - or "bow" to me. I don't mind you referring to me as "boy" either. I am concerned that you have become so angry about a hobby that is supposed to be relaxing and enjoyable. Isn't it funny you never hear anyone arguing over condom brands? Think about that for a few minutes.

This is true...I have seen Terry reprimanded by the mods several times, (and on other sites as well) lol.

Wow, you can say that again. TH has escorted me to the dog house with a stern word and a big stick more than once! Heck, I've been beaten like a baby seal by Mods in every forum I've ever belonged to. I have to say in all honesty, the Mods here at Treasurenet are the best in the Biz! :notworthy:

I think they make them all way too small. :laughing7:

On build quality, I have not had one fall apart in any brand. I have the Infinium, and a wrap of clear tape on the smaller diameter shaft takes all the wobble out. The loose fit of the shafts is not a quality control flaw, but rather a design feature. I think they do that because it is a water machine and sand can get into anything and jam things up. with a looser fit, it is less likely.

I think remember Terry saying he was banned from that friendliest metal detecting forum and banned from several several states between AZ and NY! He doesn't hold back on who or where he speaks his peace! Lol

...It's the place and the person (knowing his/her detector). The detector brand has little to do with it....

I agree. Experience on the headphones has taught me it is about location first; personal karma/luck/fate second; and equipment third. That is why I have stayed with Tesoro and Minelab. They do the job just as well or better than any machines on the market. Minelab pulse induction SD, GPX, and GPZ machines beat the pants off every other gold nugget and meteorite machines available. Tesoro VLF machines are the lightest, and easiest to use, AND they will find anything a V3i, Deus, or CTX 3030 will find at 1/3 to 1/2 the cost.

Can't we all just get along! I think the great philosopher Gilligan stated that once, or was it the Skipper? Oh well! I agree, any machine if you know it and can use it will yield great results. Heck, I was stoned once on a forum for just simply stating of a new brand in beta testing to the few test pilots to just be totally honest < tell the bad as well and tell the facts! You would think I had said the worse thing possible. I guess to a degree I see how they took it out of context but then again I meant just that............don't take a side, just state the facts.

In my line of work I am use to being riddled with stones!

If you do not seek you will not find. The biggest part is to get out and participate. Today I took the Lobo out with the stock coil. The park I have been going to is bottle cap and pull tab infested. If I was to dig them all they would run me off for roto tilling their park. I cranked up the discriminator and backed off just a tad. Set like that the Lobo loves the pennies. I got quarters too, but no dimes. I didn't make minimum wage, but the fun I had was priceless.
I took my little dog, (pictured in the Avatar), she had fun too. Sometimes she sees me dig and she finds a spot to dig too. I let her if it is a patch of dirt. I fill her holes back in too. Other people with dogs stopped by and I got to meet some nice people.

Gilligan? Umm... it was Rodney King that made it famous. He was beaten by LAPD officers & that led to the riots in the streets of LA. At a press conference he urged people to stop the looting & rioting and made the famous statement "can't we all just get along?"

Owners and Managers of Whites dealerships all across the country, recently gathered in the Pocono Mountains to raise awareness for their new "MX Sport" metal detector. When one of the demonstrators accidentally dropped the machine off the dock, a local man with a Tesoro Tiger Shark was called in to retrieve it. "It was OK," said Whites dealer Joe McKentyre, "We all just suited up and went for a swim while the guy fished out the detector."
