According to my book, I have just found a penny worth $50.000.00!!!

I am SHOCKED, SHAKING and in DISBELIEF!!!

I did the best I can to take a pic to show you guys, and if you look, you will see the DOT!
Posting a few pics of it and what the book shows.

I know this will have to be "authenticated" as there have only been 4 confirmed but, I'm crossing my fingers and praying that it is indeed an original!

Here's a closer view enlarged by PBK ~ thanks PBK! ;)

You can send it to a service.
Send it certified and insured with their fee and a return fee for sending it back to you certified and insured. Simple as that.

Get a second opinion for sure.
I see a dot, no doubt about it.

The guy you took it too may have issues, may be mistaken, may be a jerk that's jealous or may be right. Who knows, in any event he's only human so for sure do not depend on what he says since the rest of us (majority) see a dot.

Wow, for him to just cast it off and say he saw no dot makes little sense (well, it makes some sense if he's an arrogant snob sob) and I've met my fair share of them out there in the Numismatic world.

Hi Everyone,

Off I went this morning to have the penny looked at and...

THE VERDICT!

He say's "NO DOT" at ALL! He doesn't see a dot!
I was like, what?? I see the dot, plain as day!
I took his magnifying glass and looked and seen the dot!
Wasn't gonna agrue with the "Professional"

So, I'll leave at at this and you all can decide! :'(

For those who don't see the "Verdict" It is on page 1. I've quoted it above.
I haven't taken the penny to anyone else as of yet. Might think of trying PCGS... after the experience with this guy....it's hard to want to try again! :(

Ok, Here we go.... thought I'd try to take better pics of the penny. Also, I was at an Auction few weeks ago and bid on a collection of pennies hoping to find a 1936 No Dot penny. Managed to get a few of them...lol.
So, I'm including a pic of two 1936 Pennies. My Dot one and one with the dot.

First Pic is the Dot penny, Second is without purchased at an auction.

There is indeed a chance that this could be a counterfeit and I'm praying it's not!
Using Treshers pic, I put this together...I dunno....I think it looks pretty darn REAL but, could be my eyes playing tricks, wanting it to be REAL!

Have a look....

mypennyresemblancexx1.jpg

The images that I posted have the reference image on top of your image. BTW. I had to rotate it 1% clockwise to make them line up.

The only difference between my three images is the amount of transparency of the reference image over your image. The first picture has about 20% transparency, the second has about 50% and the third is a zoom with about 80% transparency to show both dots relative to each other.

Your picture, mypennyresemblancexx1.jpg, is my first one and the reference so of course they look the same.

All images aside and based on what everyone else has said, I'm leaning towards it being real, though I am no expert. And I certainly hope that it turns out to be real.
