Re: PICTURES! ... explanation is on its way

Reason for keeping the 1979, 2006 and 1984 is to fill the coin folder for each date and mint mark.
I photographed the other two, just to show how common US cents are in Canada. I started to treat US cents as all other Canadian cents about a year ago, when opened a box and decided to put all the US cents I could find. Out of 2500 coins in a box, 388 were American cents, so from that point I throw Zn one's back with the Canadian pennies and keep pre 82.

Just curious, in Canada do people spent U.S. coins pretty much the same as Canadian? Like they accept U.S. coins for payment?

Yes and no. Cents, nickels, dimes and quarters are generally accepted, even in banks :) Don't think that will work with Kennedy halves, presidential dollars or Large dollars.

Re: PICTURES! ... explanation is on its way

nice pictures and batch!

That 1955 wheat is in great shape, I average 1 RED or R/B(Reddish brown) wheat every 3-4 boxes... I think you did quite well. I average 10-15 canadian pennies per box of cents, never had more than 20 per box. I keep ALL canadian coins I find in circulation as well as any other foreign coins. :)

Wheat enders always set a good mood for hunting the rest of box. Also husks promise that there are probably more of them in that roll
