plated my friend.

Don't ask me who would do that!

i see thanks,, but i do not understand why they stick to a magnet, they remind me of a 100 lire steel type coin i have

A thick plating of a magnetic metal like Chrome will cause the coin to be magnetic, although usually a thinly plated piece will only show a slight attraction to a magnet. But I suppose it depends on how powerful your magnet is.

thanks guys,, i will say they do make it interesting i shall toss them to the kids piggy bank

Even if they are strange - you still had some nice finds nsdq!

What year is your 100 lire? There are some key dates.

Could be chrome a likely possability but, the chinese might bringing their counterfieting efforts to the clad game

I've seen some fake clad.

I've seen some fake clad.

Me too, I've gotten many magicians half dollars 2 lead wallets and a lead Franklin half. They just make a thud when dropped with no real sound of a coin and they feel different.

Crome is clear and non magnetic, but the metal under it can be like nickel plated steel.
