i see thanks,, but i do not understand why they stick to a magnet, they remind me of a 100 lire steel type coin i have

A thick plating of a magnetic metal like Chrome will cause the coin to be magnetic, although usually a thinly plated piece will only show a slight attraction to a magnet. But I suppose it depends on how powerful your magnet is.

Crome is clear and non magnetic, but the metal under it can be like nickel plated steel.
