1700's Indian trade ring

Rough day on some hammered cellar holes with Todd Hiltz. a couple IH's and 2 wheaties. The ring I found at a chimney pile we think was a cabin site that we came across roamin the woods. It was under one of the large stones in the chimney pile mixed in with some square nails.that site was hammered too. the glass fell out of ring while cleaning it and I super glued it back in place.sure looks pretty old.
Turns out my ring is a Indian trade ring mid to late 1700's. Thanks John Ruth for sending the info on it.

that's awesome! love the trade rings!

What an awesome day & finds. I love the trading ring. I have read a fair bit about beaver & hide trappers that traded rings & other things with Indians, have always wanted to discover one & wonder about the story behind it.

Awesome find !! Great that you were able to identify it. Congrats and HH

WTG Dave on a really cool find. If it could only talk!

Exquisite ring with great history, and it's amazing the stone is still in it. Congrats!!!

Congrats on all those buttons and the trade ring HMN. :occasion14: I am not much of a relic guy yet, but I do know I'd love to dig that hand full of keepers you pulled.

WoW! Congratulations! :occasion14: I might have one of those rings, although not in that good shape.

Great save on that ring! Even better that it still has the glass.

Cool ring! You need to keep hammering that hammered site!

Awesome piece of history congrats!

Sweet ring I always fear finding a ring and the stone is missing like a diamond and having to sift or bring all the dirt around it home in a bag to sift LOL Great Job!!

That's a very cool ring, congrats

Dave, that's a super find. I'm glad you shared it because if I had found one I'd have thought it was a cheapo or kid's ring. Congrats, Q.

Congratualtions on the historic ring find! :occasion14:
