Stopped in a nearby colonial cellar that has been hammered pretty well :-\

Was moving trees and branches and was able to pull some good finds :icon_thumleft:

Probably abandoned around the Civil War era.

Grabbed some nice little Colonial buckles and a silver plated buckle ;D
Not sure if its a shoe or waist it does have a curve :dontknow:
The age is a mystery to me also :icon_scratch:

Got a thimble and some buttons :)

Keep the passion high

Nice finds JB

The first buckle is definitely a shoe buckle. I believe the other two are also shoe buckles, even though they are a bit smaller.

I like the button with the wavy lines too :icon_thumright:

Congrats! You have nice finds. :icon_thumleft:

That silver plated buckle is huge!! Wonder what that was used for?? Nice finds!

Nice buckles J.B. That site may still have some more coins and relic left yet. HH, Quindy.

Nice buckles you found there Blaze, the large one is most likely around REV.War era. found a piece much like it from that type site.Which also produced my largest or would have been buckle :( Cru Id it as a shoe buckle. But would have been a monster if all together.I've put the biggest chape & tongue piece I have in it to get a better Idea of it's size.My best drawing & size it must have been below. Also the piece that looks like yours.
Take Care,
Pete, :hello:
