06/11 - Halves, nickels and dimes

I'm still having trouble getting boxes of halves. The box I ordered at one bank never showed up. I asked at another bank today, and they said I need to talk to a different teller during the week. I did find two rolls of halves, but they looked like dumps. The wrappers were many-times used and held together with scotch tape and had X marks on them. I got them anyway just in case, but they were skunks as expected.

I picked up a box each of nickels and dimes at the usual place. The dimes were good, and the nickels didn't produce any silver or buffalo, but quite a few early dates including a semi-key and a couple in unusually nice condition.

I also found a 2004 Euro cent and a 1977 Australian cent in the dime rolls, both of which are smaller diameter but thicker than dimes. The Aussie cent is a beautiful uncirculated coin with lovely toning.
