This is from the Barley Stubble Field Dad & I gained permission for this year. We knew it had been Night Hawked for 15 years+ but decided it was our turn to pile on the pressure

This does not include the 100s of plain buttons, blank coins, odd bits, & broken buckle pieces.

About 15 trips to cover 11 acres of land. (about 100 man hours effort)

This has been a great stop gap, as none of our good land has been harvested yet (due to heavy rain).

Went back to my old camera :D

Remember this doesn't include the 20/1 ratio of trash/treasure, we cleared plenty of Lead, copper, bronze, brass, & Iron junk.

to scare ... I thought it was a single visit. I nearly died of fright :o , I like the presentation of their findings is you unique.
Greetings!

Nice finds Cru 'n' dad :icon_thumright: :icon_thumright:, for me the best is the part of a medieval candle arrangement. :icon_thumright:

Truly amazing finds!

Got to rain on your parade, though. If you spent 100 man hours on 11 acres, you need to spend anther 1000-1500 hours, at least. Even with a larger coil to find deeper targets, you're still missing a lot of the surface coverage. I predict that field will yield many many more days of happy hunting.

Fantastic presentations, and hope more silver (and gold) peaks out for you.

As usual Cru & Dad, I'm absolutely gobsmacked with your finds :o
I can imagine spending years in a field like that and not finding half
of what you found. Hope you were able to sell some of the "scrap metal trash"
to the recycle metal dealers for some extra cash.

Would you be kind enough to identify these two items for me? :icon_scratch:
Thanks,
Dave :hello:

We have at least 10 years of detecting ahead of us (minimum).

3 Lions of England Heraldic horse pendant attached (& swang) from the Knights horses head. - 14th Century

The bottom one is a mystery, I thought it an old lynch pin :icon_scratch:

Thanks for saving that one from the trash box

That's amazing. Those kinds of finds would have my mind running all over the place thinking about the circumstances surrounding them all. The UK was always my dream trip due to the history even before I started detecting, now I really have to get over there! ;D

I thought it might have something to do with securing a toga or possibly something from Roman attire. :dontknow:

Thanks for responding :icon_thumright:

That doesn't include the piles of stuff I found there :D :-[

Unreal amount of stuff there Cru :o

Holy moley... it would take me years of hardcore hunting at my best sites to even come close to the amount of amazing finds you pulled out of that field.

I am jealous! ;D

Yeah, read my guide para. 1.1 chapter on 'Hawking & how to make friends & influence' :laughing7:

They are a thick bunch of muppets in our area, they leave holes open & rubbish by the side of it :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch: :icon_scratch:

Why do you worry so much about Night Hawkers :dontknow: when they leave that much stuff on one field :icon_scratch: and you say it's been nighthawked for 15 years :icon_scratch: ihey must have forgot there detectors :laughing9:

Very Nice :icon_thumleft:

SS

Because it all lost information (stolen history which we all own & have a right to understand), we have pieces of the jigsaw missing, that is what bothers me, as someone who records a site carefully.

They are my only detecting competition, & as you pointed out, they all must all be 1-legged as I'm running rings around them.
