This sports field is the "oldest" in my neck of the woods (within a mile or two)...meaning 1978. I have hunted it who knows how many times and I've only found silver jewelry, no gold. One guy I know managed to find a scrap of gold ring in the lawn mower detritus on the side of the field. I knew that, from the finds coming out of the other fields in the area, that there had to be some gold hiding out. I wasn't really motivated today, but thought that a short hunt would be fun. The v3 was set up for gold and I was just going to dig possible gold signals and anything interesting. The 12 VDI caught my eye and after investigating the target dug up the ring. The wheat was a surprise (solid 74). I left less than an hour later. Ha-ha field! You can't fool me!!!! Muahahahaa!
