Latly I've been suffering from cabin fever and have been dying to dig so I made it down to the river bank in the snow. Once I got past the soil that's frozen solid like concrete the digging got easier. I didn't find anything great exept for this union bluing bottle. I'm curious to know the age of this bottle because there is very little info out there. And is this as common as the the sawyers crystal blueing bottles that I usually leave behind? Thanks for looking-Justin

An oldtimer once told me union bluing got its name from the union soldiers using this solution to wash their uniforms and keep them blue. I never really believed it . Anybody ever heard of that?

Yeah that's what I'm finding out about the bottle on the net but there isn't anything concrete. There's a lack if good info on this company.

Nice work RelicDude, yes bluing makes your whites white. I wish I could find a bluing bot as nice as yours some day.
