Finished the bottom section of the field. On Sunday it time for a new field

I found the smallest Roman Fibula/brooch we have ever had. Proves why you should dig trashy signals.

Dad was 1 up on the Romans until the last run at the end when I got a better one (top of picture) Not that we are in competition

No silver today, missed it by 4 years with a 1951 sixpence.

Should have added - for now. Only searched the bottom third. I know the productive areas & will hit them again. Later I will search the middle section & then the top.

I'm happy for now with the increased knowledge, & I have better fields to do (I hope)!

Nice finds Crusader! That is a very small fibula, never saw one so small. It is amazing, I found the same exact watch winder you did just yesterday, mine has threads in it so it is not so old. I'll try to post it. HH, Mike
